CGI Paintings
At first appearances the 'CGI' series of paintings appear to represent reality or perhaps more so, mimic photographic depictions of it. They are however, not derived from reality, nor are they from photographs. The images represented are constructed using 3D modelling programs on the computer, either created by Nawfal, or appropriated from already existing sources.
These constructed scenes allude to a sublime vision of the world that that on one hand already exists and on the other a digital future of mimetic reproduction
